Answers provided by NextGen Acting.

What is the Rising Star Resilience Project?

The Rising Star Resilience Project is an initiative by NextGen Acting, designed to empower students ages 12-17 through weekly performing arts and storytelling classes and performing arts masterclasses, culminating in a showcase of their work at the end of the program.

When will the Rising Star Resilience Project take place?

The Rising Star Resilience Project will take place between January and June 2024.

Are there any costs involved?

This program will be free for the 25 students selected.

Who can join the Rising Star Resilience Project?

Students ages 12-17 in Middlesex County can apply to be a part of this program; however, we will only be selecting 25 students for this program.

Will there be a performance?

Yes! The culmination of the program is a showcase performance where students can share their work with friends, family, and community members.

Will my child actually be seen?

Yes. The studio is still personal enough for placement, coaching, and family guidance to matter.

Is it serious enough?

Yes. Students can begin gently and still grow toward voice-over, on-camera, Conservatory, and private coaching.

Does it help beyond acting?

Yes. Acting builds listening, bravery, recovery, collaboration, and the confidence to be seen.

Does my child need acting experience?

No. Camp welcomes beginners and returning students, with teachers helping each camper enter the work at an appropriate level.

How are campers grouped if the page says ages 7-18?

Ages 7-18 is the current public age range. Grouping details for the 2027 session will be shared before camp begins.
